Schedules All current members and those whose memberships have recently lapsed will be sent copies of all show schedules as and when they become available through the post. If you are not a member and would like a schedule, please send an A5 sized stamped addressed envelope to the secretary, or alternatively send an email requesting a PDF version to be sent.

Membership. All owners and riders are required to be members of the SWSJC to jump at our shows (except for BSJA allocated qualifiers) Membership runs for a year from the show you join at. Under 16’s jumping in senior classes now require an adult membership.

Stables are available for the duration of the show, single night bookings are not available. Please state at time of booking if you are bringing a STALLION (we reserve the right to stable stallions away from other horses). Bedding is not provided.

Horses/ponies are not permitted to be stabled overnight in vehicles or corrals within the perimeter of the showground.

Please advise the stable manager if you are arriving after midnight.

We get lots of request from members who like to be stabled with their friends. Sometimes this is possible if the request is made in plenty of time, however it is never guaranteed and the Stable Managers decision is always final. Stallions are almost always stabled indoors on the end of a row.

Taps and Muck heaps are located close to all stables.

Stables cancelled a week before the first show day will receive a full refund; those cancelled within a week of the show can only be refunded if re-sold

Several different types of stables are in use at our shows.

Permanent Stables- are reserved for use by sponsors, council members, helpers & the occasional special case. Please do not ask for perms unless you fit into one of the above categories.

Indoor temp stables- This type of stable has been growing in popularity since we purchased our first 120 in 2004. The stables have a metal framework, sturdy boards with sheet roofing covering the entire block of stables that keeps the centre aisle dry in wet weather. These stables normally have lights at night and are 10x10 in size. Doors also have bars preventing the horse from leaning out over the door.

Wooden Pony Temp stable - Recently purchased, the usual outdoor temp stable with wooden framework and an open fronted door. 7x10 in size.

Outdoor Horse Temp stable- when more than 550 stable bookings are received extra stables will need to be hired, these are normally the outdoor wooden type, 10x10.

Railed Horse Walks are provided to all the rings and these MUST be used at all times.

Please do not put muck at the end of your stable block use the special muck heaps we have provided.

•Keep all cans, bottles, twine, plastic bags and wrap out of the muckheaps.

Anyone seen breaking these rules may be asked to leave the showground
without taking part in any further competitions and they may forfeit any prize
money won.
